Spot-purchased Advocacy

You don't always have to use the advocacy provider who is commissioned in your area.

We welcome spot-purchase arrangements for specific advocacy provision including out of area referrals by Local Authorities primarily, but not limited to, IMCA (including 39C and 39D), RPR, Independent Care Act Advocacy and general advocacy.

Spot-purchased advocacy can help when there is no contract to provide that particular piece of work, bridge a gap in services (e.g. a particular need for general advocacy where none is commissioned) and prevent waiting lists.

It is a single issue, time-limited piece of work funded by a local authority, the NHS, solicitor, voluntary or other organisation to provide advocacy for an individual client.
